Thursday The 26th June Fundamentals

Tonight was the night after John Will so we breifly touched on a couple of things John went over last night:

1:We placed our feet in our partners hips(Toes out) had a firm grip on their collar(right hand right behind the right side of their neck) and our left hand gripping their right wrist.Our partners made movements from left to right forward and back, and we just controlled them 

2:The Sweep:With the setup the same as in step 1,this time we hipped out to the right, firstly bringing our left foot in front of their right knee, and our right shin under their left armpit,we then did 3 things simultaneously( Pulled them forward,kick their knee our from underneath them with our left foot, and with our right leg, kicked them over to our left shoulder) this enabled us to sweep them and follow them over to mount.

3:Bicep to hooks drill:Here our parner has stood up but we have control of their wrists, we firstly placed our feet in their hips (Toes out), moving our left foot first we placed it in our partners right bicep, following on with the right foot in their  left bicep,then moving our right foot back again we placed it back on the hip followed by the left foot on the other hip.Moving our left foot again we placed it behind our partners right knee(Hook),followed by our right foot behind their left knee(Hook),then one foot back to their hips,followed by the other, then up to the Biceps,then back to hips and so on.

4:Knee in hip to take the back:Here we hipped out to the right side and placed our right knee firmly into our partners left hip(Controlling the left arm and the collar).Lifting up our right arm,this brought up there left arm creating space enough to release our knee from their hip pulling them forward, and ducking out the back to take the back Note: When our leg is in their hip we have to stretch this out as well as our torso to create discomfort in our partners hip.
