Sunday the 28th of June Fundamentals

1:Tonight we started with our feet in our partners hips and we had control of their wrist,or gi cuffs.We had 3 choices(1) Turn on right hip and put our knee across their belly, pull them forward for the sweep (2) They stand up and put 1 leg forward we would grab the leg,push the opposite hip back and put them on their butt(3)They came up onto 1 knee so we put out foot under that knee for the hook,pull their arms forward,and lift up that same knee for the hooking sweep.

2:Side control,and our partner defends with their arms up.We placed our left hand under their right wrist,capturing the arm(not grabbing as we don’t want our partner to thing we are threatening the arm).We jumped up and put our left leg over their head,pulled their right arm up,wiper bladed our right leg up bringing our knees together,welding the little finger to our chest,bridging up for the tap.

3:Here we had top control,and our partner was defending.We placed our right hand under their left armpit.Placing our weight on their chest we jumped up to a squat,pulled their left arm up,and went to the left 45 degrees.As we sat back down we put our right leg over their head,welded their little finger to our chest,squeezed the knees,and bridged back for the armbar.

4:Here we had side control,and our partner had their forearms up defending.With our right arm hand we placed it under their left tricep,and turned towards them.Walking around we shaved a few inches off their eye socket with our right Lat.We walked all the way around to the other side,but as we did this our partner placed their left hand on our left shoulder in defense.We grabbed their left leg with our left hand,turned 90 degrees to put our left shin in the small of their back,stepped our left leg over their head,squeezed the knees,welded the little finger to the centre of our chest and bridge up for the armbar.

5:Again same side control starting position as drill 4 but this time we walked all the way around to the left,and use our right Lat to separate their arms.With our right hand we grabbed their left wrist,and then grabbed our our own left wrist with our right hand.Walking back around to our original starting position,we put our left knee on their face to stop them from being able to move their head up,and slowly raised their left arm up to the sky for the figure 4.

Thursday the 25th of June Fundamentals

1:Tonight we started with our feet in our partners hips and we had control of their wrist,or gi cuffs.We had 3 choices(1) Turn on right hip and put our knee across their belly, pull them forward for the sweep (2) They stand up and put 1 leg forward we would grab the leg,push the opposite hip back and put them on their butt(3)They came up onto 1 knee so we put out foot under that knee for the hook,pull their arms forward,and lift up that same knee for the hooking sweep.

2:Here we started off in with our partner in side control,and we had our left hand grabbing their right bicep,and our right hand over the opposite side.We then did a quick pushup and jumped to knee,and pull their right arm to the sky.Putting all our weight on our right knee,we stepped our left leg over their head,slid down the batpole(Arm),and sat on our butt.bringing our knees together we welded their little finger to our chest bridges up for hip penetration,for the Armbar.(Near armbar in the Blue belt Syllabus)

3:Again we had side control and jumped to knee ride, but stuffed up the near armbar.Our partner used their left hand to push on our right knee to try and get us off  knee ride creating a big hole.We used our right hand to cup their left arm,and stood up to pull them right onto their side,almost onto our feet.Steeping over their head,we spun around and kicked them in the ribs with our left foot,and again sitting on our butt(our right leg was also over their head).We then brung our knees together,welded their little finger to our chest,and bridged up for the armbar(This is the far armbar in the Blue Belt Syllabus).

4:Side control,and our partner defends with their arms up.We placed our left hand under their right wrist,capturing the arm.We jumped up and put our left leg over their head,pulled their right arm up,wiper bladed our right leg up bringing our knees together,welding the little finger to our chest,bridging up for the tap.

5:Here we had top control,and our partner was defending.We placed our left hand under their left wrist,and brought our right hand on top of our wrist(as if going for a figure 4).Placing our weight on their chest we jumped up to a squat,pulled their left arm up,and went to the left 45 degrees.As we sat back down we put our right leg over their head,welded their little finger to our chest,squeezed the knees,and bridged back.

As from the examples above Geoff said you need 4 things for the arm bar(1)Leg over head(2)squeezed knees(3) Little finger welded to our chest so our partner can’t turn their hand and run around for the escape(4)Hip penetration,so their elbow is above our hips.

Sunday the 21st of June Fundamentals

1:Tonight we started with our feet in our partners hips and we had control of their wrist,or gi cuffs.They would stand up on one leg,and we would have to keep control,they then stood up on 2 feet and leaned forward,so we would keep them at a distance but maintain control.

2:Again we had our feet in our partners hips,and control of their sleeves.Our partner would stand up,and lean forward.We would use our legs and walk up their back,until we could trap an arm(in this case the left).We would then throw our left leg over their neck and hook it behind the back of our knee,and bridge our hips.We would then both drop down and repeat the other side,over and over.

3:Here we had Guard,and had grips of their elbows,or just behind the triceps.Pulling the elbows down,we would open our legs,go off centre to our right 90 degrees,and swing our left leg over and hook behind their neck (like in drill 2),at the same time pulling their right arm towards us for the armbar.We then repeated the same for the other side.

4:Again we had Guard,and went for drill 3,but this time our partner stacked and drove us forward.We came around to our right about 45 degrees,and drove our left leg back,sweeping our partner over to their back with the arm still secured.From hee we regrouped and shuffled forward to close the gap,squeezed our knees together,welded their little finger to our chest,and bridged up for the armbar.4(b) Again like drill 4 but we really fuck it up and they stack quite heavily into us.We go for the 45 degree angle,then swing the leg over,and come around a further 30 degrees,so our head is right by their legs.We then pushed them forward to sweep them over,regrouped,grabbed the arm,squeezed the knees,and welded their little finger to the centre of our chest,and bridged up for the armbar.

5:We had Guard again,and the arms secured.We came aound to our right hand side and grabbed their left gi pants(what illegal grip..?).Our partner twitched up,and came off their knees slightly so we swung our left leg over the back of their neck again,and drove them forward,while lifting their left leg up sweeping them over.Again we regrouped,squeezed the knees,welded the little finger to the centre of our chest,and bridged up to get the hip penetration for the armbar.

Thursday the 18th of June Fundamentals

1:Tonight we started with our feet in our partners hips and we had control of their wrist,or gi cuffs.They would stand up on one leg,and we would have to keep control,they then stood up on 2 feet and leaned forward,so we would keep them at a distance but maintain control.

2:Again like drill 1 where we would maintain control,but if they stood up and leaned forward this time we would pull then forward and pull them off their feet,or they would put 1 foot forward of which we would let go of one of the sleeves and grab.

3:Here we had our partner in guard,and controlling their sleeves.We hipped out slightly to the left and brought our left foot into their right hip,and brought our left knee inside thier right bicep.Straightening up now we then put our right foot into their left hip,on the outside of their left arm.Pulling their right arm towards us, we straightened our left leg,and pivoted around to our left 90 degrees,so our left leg went over their back,and we still had both arms secured.We then swung our right leg over so the back of our right knee went over the back of their neck.We tehn welded their left arm little finger to the centre of our chest,pulled our feet towards us(Not crossing the legs) and bridge up to get the hip penetration for the armbar.

4:Same setup as drill 3 (drill 3 they were postured forward, but this drill they were postured back)but instead of straighteneing our left leg,we pull their left arm towards us hard,and drove our left knee into the side of their neck,(and our right leg went flat to the mat by their left knee)sweeping them over to the left onto their back.Still pulling on their left arm we rolled to our left hip to swing our right leg over their head.Swinging back we again,squeezed our knees together, welded their little finger to our chest, and bridged up for the armbar.

5:Here we had our partner in guard,and had welded their right forearm to the centre of our chest.We then opened our legs and slid our left foot into their right hip.We then did 2 things simulteanously(1) came up as if to headbutt them,and swung our right foot across their back.This spun us around 90 degrees.Keeping our hips flat, we swung the left leg over their head so the back of our knee was on the back of their neck.Again we squeezed our knees together,welded their little finger to our chest,and bridged up for the tap.

Sunday the 14th of June Fundamentals

1:Tonight we started with being in our partners Side control,with our hands up protecting our neck.We would then use our forearms to push on our partners ribs,until they touched our thighs.Bumping them up,we then brought our right knee through,and spun around 90 degree’s to face our partner,putting them in guard.

2:We went for drill 1 again and when we put our partner in guard, we came up on our left elbow,and secured our right hand onto their right Lat.Diving under,under,under again to off balance our partner,our left hand grabbed their right ankle or gi pant.We then cresent kicked the shit out of them in their right shoulder to roll them over to the left hand side,for the sweep.

3:This time had mount .Once here we had hold of their wrist with our left hand,so we fed our right hand underneath their hand to grab our right wrist.We then dismounted,and came around to the top of thier head.Swinging our left arm from the back of their head,we then sat on their head,and welded their elbow to the centre of our chest.We then rotated our arm clockwise for the tap.

4:Mount again and we used our chest to push the back of their right bicep.We used our left hand to grab their right wrist and feed it under their head.We then used our right hand to go under their head and grab our left bicep,also pushing them up onto their left side to create space.Placing our left hand onto their forehead ,and dismounting to our left we drop them back down to their back we squeezed like anything until they bled or died, or fell asleep.

5:This drill we had our feet in their hips and had control of their sleeves.Our partner came up onto their left foot (just to be a prick).We pulled thier sleeves in tight so their elbows were in our biceps for more control.Using our right foot we put it behind their left knee,and tucked it underneath.Pulling our right knee to the ground we off balanced our partner and swept them over coming to our knees,still keeping control of their arms.

Thursday the 11th of June Fundamentals

1:Here we started as a warmup drill on mount.Our partner kept their arms tight on their chest.They started by bridging forward,we would keep low and post our arms out.They then bridged to the right so we would sprawl out our left hand, and cupped behind their neck with our right hand.They then Bridged to the left so we would post with the right hand and cup the back of their neck with our left hand.They then went random.The main point was to keep low and squeeze our feet together on their ribs for extra grip.

2:We had mount again,and our partner was once again hiding with their arms.Using both hands we placed them on their left forearm,then locked our arms straight to push it to the mat.We then grabbed their left wrist with our left hand,and swung our right arm under to grab our own wrist.Like a paint brush stroke, we dragged their arm down and up for the tap.(making sure the their arm is at a 90 degree angle)

3:Here we had mount again and went for drill 2 but when we pushed their arm down to the mat, they turned on their side,and grabbed their own wrist with their right hand.We straight away swung our left knee up to their head,and our right foot went to their left hip so we were almost sitting on their ribs.Posting on our right hand,we swung our right leg over their head,and grabbed their left arm,sitting back down on out butt,and flattening them out again.We then squeezed our knees,welded their little finger to our chest and slowly lay back and bridged the hips for the tap.

4:Again same setup as drill 3,and they bailed again to their side.We had hold of their wrist with our left hand,so we fed our right hand underneath their hand to grab our right wrist.We then dismounted,and came around to the top of thier head.Swinging our left arm from the back of their head,we then sat on their head,and welded their elbow to the centre of our chest.We then rotated our arm clockwise for the tap.

5:Here we had high mount(keeping left and low),and had their right arm wrapped around their head,by grabbing their wrist with our left hand,and our chest crushing down on their bicep.We then rolled them to the right to create space,and put our right hand underneath their head and grabbed our left bicep.Dismounting to out left,we squeezed our arms together for the Head-Arm choke.

Thursday the 4th of June Fundamentals

1:Tonight we started with our feet in our partners hips and we had control of their wrist,or gi cuffs.They would stand up on one leg,and we would have to keep control,they then stood up on 2 feet and leaned forward,so we would keep them at a distance but maintain control.

2:Again like drill 1 where we would maintain control,but if they stood up and leaned forward this time we would pull then forward and pull them off their feet.

3:This time they stood up and put their left leg foward.With our right hand we would let go of their sleeve and grab their left ankle,pull this forward,and with our left foot push them back,so they would fall on their butt.We then jumped back to out knees.

4:Again we grabbed their wrist,and put our feet in their hips(they are still kneeling this time).Our aim would be to stop them coming forward putting pressure on us,to punch us in the head.Our partner grabbed our right leg.Still keeping the grips we kicked them in the left armpit,and pulled their right arm towards us,sweeping them over to either mount or to our knees.

5:we would go for drill 4 but it doesn’t quite work out and we don’t get the sweep.Our partner comes forward so we disengaged,and used our right foot on thier right shoulder to push away to our knees.

6:We then put it all together,and our aim was to use one of the above drills to put them on their butt, depending on what grips our partner got,or weather they stood,or put a leg forward.

7:We then did the same as drill 6 but alternated,when one of us ended up on our butt.

Sunday the 31st of May Fundamentals

1:Here we had our partner in half guard.Keeping our left knee into their stomach, we straghtened our hip,and placed our left hand by our left knee.As soon as our partner put pressure on us,we dropped our left knee down,shooting our partner forward,and our left hand got the underhook.We then ducked out the back and took our partners back,elbowing them to death.

2:The Horny Chihuahua drill.Exactly the same setup as drill 2 except this time instead of ducking out the back,we dived right down so our head was right under our partners stomach.With our right hand we grabbed our partners left foot(at the Toes),and handed it to our left hand.WIth our right hand we grabbed their left knee.Placing our left foot in between their legs we hooked their right leg.We then did 2 things simultaneously(1) pulled our left knee towards our ass(2)pulled their left knee towards us.This pulled our partner over,and we came around to side control, not letting their foot go until we had secured side control.

3:Same setup as the Horny chihuahua drill but this time when we went to roll them over they posted their left had out.We bridged them and rolled them the other way to the right,then secured side control.

4:This time we wnet for drill 3 but our patner kept on posting out from side to side.We kept going form side to side until we finally rolled them over,either way.

5:We went for drill 3 to but made some mistakes,and our partner ended up headlocking us with their right arm.With our right hand we grabbed their left Gi Lapel,and fed it to our left hand,and pulled it tight to off balance them.Getting the same foot grip as drill 3 we rolled them over us again,to secure side control.5(b) They omce again posted so we ducked out the back.
