Sunday the 7th of march Fundamentals
1:We started with hooks and underhooks ,coming up and pulling our partner off their base,over and over.Keeping out elbows up high,and head low.
2:This time we were on our partners hooks,and they wee going for Drill 1.As they came up we blocked by grabbing their shins,and stepping out right hook off,then left hook.
3Here we shook our partners hands,and came up and placed our right foot between their legs,at the same time grabbing the right underhook,and falling to our left side sweeping them over or trying to.
4:Same setup as drill 3 but this time we had (elbow-knee)and sat back down on our left ankle,and keeping low,we fell to out left side kicking up our right leg,and kicking our left leg out,sweeping our partner over to side control.
5.A drill with our partner,we had hooks,and would pull them off their base,and stretch our legs out,and palce them on their knees,and lay back again,then we would come up and do the same thing until we had reached the end of the mat,and then we swapped.
6:Here we started with coming up with right hand underhook and left hand overhook,to sweep them over,but out partner would step off our hooks.We would follow them by butt scooting in close,attemping a few times before we rolled back on our left shoulder,and kicked the right hook up,and the left hook out.
7:Hooks again,and we went to go for drill 6,but our partner would grab our knees.We grabbed the right hand and pulled it to our right side,with our chest in their right shoulder connecting with them so they couldn’t pull their arm back.With our left hand we grabbed their left lat and welded their body to us.We came up and posted on our right hand,then put it between their arms,rolling back onto our left shoulder,kicking the right leg up and the left leg out,sweeping them over to side control.
8:Here they gripped our left leg at the bottom of the gi pants.We pulled our left leg out of the hook position,and grabbed their right gi cuff.Kicking our left leg back sharply,and pulling our hands towards us,we would break the grip,then pull the right arm across our right side,and repeat drill 7.
9:Here we would go for drill 7 again but as we kicked our right hook up and left hook out,we would use our hands to turn our partner in between our legs,and drop them in the space between,allowing us to get out grips to go for the rear naked choke.This is called”Pig on a Spit”.
