Thursday The 8th of March Fundamentals

1:Tonight we started with our feet in our partners hips and we had control of their wrist,or gi cuffs(Thumbs out).We had 3 choices(1) Turn on right hip and put our knee across their belly, pull them forward for the sweep (2) They came up onto their left knee so we put out foot under that knee for the hook,pull their arms forward,and lift up that same knee for the hooking sweep.(3)They stand up and put left  leg forward so we would grab it and pull it towards us,,and push our left leg which was in the centre of their stomach back to put them on their butt.

2:(Basic Arm Bar)Here we had Mount on our partner,and were smothering them which caused them to push up on our chest.With our right hand we put it on their chest between their arms,and with the left hand were circled their right arm,and put it on our right hand.Jumping up to a squat,we placed our left foot by their right ear,then stepped over their head with the same foot,and slid down the arm(Bat Pole).We then squeezed our knees together,welded their little finger to our chest,and bridged up for hip penetration for the armbar.

3:We go for drill 2 but stuff it up when we got to sitting down.Our partner sucked back their right arm.We posted on our left arm,and grabbed their left bicep with our right hand,so our elbow was facing away from us.We then pushed off our left hand and sat on their ribs,then sat down on the opposite side,trapping their left arm.With our left hand we grabbed under their leg,and squeezed our knees together,welded their little finger to our chest,and bridged up for hip penetration for the armbar.Once we got the tap,we came back up and placed our right hand between their legs,and swung our left leg over their body to bring us to the opposite side control.We then proceded to mount,repeating the drill.

4:Here we had top control,with our partner having their arms up in the defence position.With our hands faced down on their chest under their elbows, we used our forehead and legs to push their left forearm down towards their left knee. keeping as low as possible,we then swapped hands so the right hand grabbed the left arm,and our knees were either side of our partners face.We then brought our left knee down further than the right so the left hand could grabbed the left leg,and we could roll to our left,so our left leg came up,and our right leg went across their head trapping their arm ,squeezing the knees for the armbar.
